Computer Performance Tests To Diagnose
Problems Causing Slow Performance

A PC or computer performance test will help to diagnose problems that might be causing your computer, PC or laptop to operate slowly.

There are a wide variety of hardware and software issues which could impede the performance of your computer.

One of the goals of this website is to help you to identify what particular issue might be causing your slow computer problem.

Therefore, to help you achieve this, in this section we provide a list of suggested computer performance tests for you to run.

The list of tests is as follows:

  • Determine whether your hard drive is too full.
  • Determine whether your hard drive is too fragmented (hard-drive-test).
  • Determine whether your system registry is corrupt (registry-corrupt).
  • Determine whether there are too many windows processes running in the background.
  • Determine whether your computer's memory is overloaded (pc-memory-test).

If your computer is sluggish, and you would like to start investigating what the cause could be, run through each of these computer performance tests one by one.
