Prevent Fragmentation From Occuring Before It Slows Down Your Computer
Wouldn't it be great if we could prevent fragmentation from occurring altogether!!! It would mean you don't have to waste your valuable time and computer resources regularly defragmenting your hard drive. This is because it would eliminate file fragmentation - one of the main culprits behind poor computer performance. Until recently disk defragmenter software tools have only been able to tackle disk fragmentation after it occurs. They have been unable to stand in the way and prevent fragmentation from cluttering up hard drives in the first place. In late 2009, Diskeeper Corporation became the first and only developer to introduce a tool that tackles fragmentation before it actually occurs. The name of the tool is Diskeeper 2010 and it resolves the fragmentation problem using a new feature known as IntelliWrite fragmentation prevention. IntelliWrite is able to prevent up to 85% of potential fragmentation from occurring in the first place, with the remainder easily tackled by the Diskeeper 2010's defragmenter feature. I regularly examine other defragmenter technologies and so far this is the only disk defragmenter I have observed which is able do this.
